The Margalla Hills National Park includes the Margalla Hills along with Shakarparian Park and Rawal Lake covering an area of approximately 17,386 hectares (67.13 sq miles). The park is rich in biodiversity featuring Sino-himalayan fauna, gray goral, barking deer, leopard, 250 bird varieties and around 600 plant species. These hills are located in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan with elevation ranging between 685 meters and 1,604 meters.
