The annual Shandur Polo Festival is going to start on June 20, 2014. The three-day Shandur Festival at the world’s highest polo ground has been rescheduled this year due to the holy month of Ramazan.

This, one of the most prominent festival in the northern Pakistan has been held regularly for the last several years from July 7 to 10. The polo matches between the teams of Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan is the main attraction of the festival. The supporters of both teams join this highly excited gathering and to watch the game.

Another thrilling activity of this event is the paragliding. The paragliders from different parts of the country display skills during the match. The festival also includes folk music, dancing, fishing, and hiking in the area.
