Three climbing attempts on the Nanga Parbat are expected from Poland, Italy and Germany climbers in the winter season. The permission is granted for the ‘Killer Mountain’; world’s ninth highest and the most difficult mountain peak.

The Italian expedition will attempt this ascend under the lead of Simone Moro. Simone Moro who started his climbing career as a rock climber, is a seasoned mountaineer with an exclusive track record of successful winter ascents of Shisha Pangma, Makalu, Gasherbrum II. Simone’s other eight-thousandar climbs include Lhotse, Cho Oyu and the Mount Everest.

Ralf Dujmovits will lead the Germans. Ralf Dujmovits is one of the one of the world’s most experienced and most successful high altitude climbers who have captured all 14 of the 8000 meter peaks in Himalaya and Karakoram. On 20 May 2009, 52 years old climber reached the summit of Lhotse, becoming the 16th person to climb the 14 eight-thousanders.
